On Sunday April 15th Brikla Baronne van Achter de Duinen and Argo de Wacourt have become the happy parents of 10 healthy pups. The litter consists of 4 males and 6 females.

Today we visited the owners of Argo de Wacourt to get Brikla fertilized. First the couple renewed their acquaintance and after that everything happened very quickly. We hope that they will become parents of a very beautiful litter of very sweet puppies. What else can you expect from a litter conceived on Valentine's day.

Nijverdal, July 31st 2011

Yesterday, the two pups of the G-Litter have 'hatched'. We have received notice that they are happy at their new homes and they had a good journey and a good first night with their new family. For us, Tine and Beike, the void, we now face, is not without emotion. All that remains, is placing the last three photo's on the website (See photo page G-Litter). We hope to repeat the combination Beike & Birko again next spring.

On June the 25th, we took Yske, Brikla and Baraka, Brikla's daughter from the E-litter, to France to compete in the club match of the French Munsterlander association.

Baraka competed for the first time in a dog show and participated in the intermediate class. The conclusion of the judge: youthful appearance and beautiful movement, but she still needs more body. She received a very good.
Yske competed in the veteran class, together with one other dog. She took second place, because of the gray hears around her mouth and maybe also the fact that the other dog belonged to a Frenchman.
Brikla did not compete, because she is still recovering after giving birth to her puppies.

We also went to France to look for a suitable father for the next, and also last, litter of Brikla. We saw five very beautiful male dogs. Now we have to check the Pedigree, to see witch dog is most suitable and will meet our strict demands.

Nijverdal, June 7th 2011

At June 5th, after 03.00 a.m. two pups have been born. Initially there was some hope for a few afterthoughts. On an echo you could think there were four pups seen. However, a röntgen picture after the birth of the first two pups showed there were no more pups inside. So many candidates were to be disappointed. In the meanwhile several days went bye and the mother and her daughters are fine.

On Sunday, April 3th, Beike Baronne Van Achter De Duinen has met her new friend Birko Vom Grossen Freien. Both agreed in full commonship. In short: Beike has been breeded. After a month an ultrasound will be made. In the beginning of June we hope to see healthy pups.

Today, Ineke has visited the faculty of Veterinary medicine in Utrecht, together with Brikla, to see if Brikla is really pregnant. It had been 35 days since she's been fertilized so Ineke was very curious to see, even though she had a strong feeling that Brikla was expecting puppies. Her friend, Art Visee, a retired vet had confirmed her suspicions, but she wanted to see the puppies with her own eyes.

The appointment was at eleven, but it was not until twelve before it was Brikla's turn to be examined. The examination was conducted by two students together with Dr. Sheefers. After the examination the doctor conducted an ultrasound and the saw the puppies in Brikla's belly. A quick count let to seven puppies, but this number can easily be higher. The real number of puppies wil be revealed around April 10th, when Brikla is expected to give birth.

As of February first co-owner Mw. Tine Visser and her dog Beike Baronne Van Achter de Duinen have joint our Kennel Van Achter De Duinen. She will help our kennel to breed good and healthy dogs, that meet our stringent requirements. We welcome Tine and Tjalling (her husband), who both have a strong passion for this breed, into our kennel en wish them lots of success and hope for a good and successful cooperation. Beike is a full sister of our Brikla, but Beike is the dark grey type, while Brikla is brown-white. Tine to have a few litters with Beike, who will be rutting soon and will be fertilized by Birko vom Grossen Freinen from Germany, to continue this healthy line.

Today I received the documents of the ( Federation Cynologique internationale). This means that Yske is also International Champion. You can only acquire this title if you receive the qualification 'Excellent' in four different countries at an international show. Yske has received this qualification in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and France (five countries).

Today our Yske has become Veteran Champion at the Winner Show in Amsterdam, the biggest dog show in our country.
