Our Dogs
Yske Rosina Jent von Beer's Freunde

This is the story of Yske, now 11 years old, at the moment of recreation of our website by Marlonneke Willemsen, the owner of Joep out of our B-litter (his website www.joepvanachterdeduinen.nl). Yske was born in 2000, so she is now more than ten years old, but still in very good shape. Very often she more like a young dog instead of an old lady.
Yske is now retired, after she had three litters. Out of these litters, two pups moved to Amerika, one to Sint Maarten, one to Germany and one to Belgium. The Dutch Small Munsterlander Club allows four litters for every female, but we thought three was enough. Also Brikla, out of the B-litter, stayed with us to assure the future of our kennel. Brikla's litter-sister Beike is owned by Tine Visser and she is also part of our kennel.
We continued to do shows every ones in a while, which resulted in the fact that Yske now also is International Champion, which means that she meets the International Breed Standard. You can only acquire this title if you receive the qualification 'Excellent' in four different countries at an international show. Yske has received this qualification in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and France (five countries). Because Yske really enjoys competing in shows we tried to get the Veteran title. This was a piece of cake for her and at the Winner show she also received the title Veteran Winner.
We hope to enjoy her for many years, her passion in the field and when she's playing with her daughter Brikla.

Brikla Baronne van Achter de Duinen

Brikla has stayed with us. She is a daughter of International Champion Romulus de la Foret des Segneurs and our Champion Yske Rosina Jent von Beer’s Freunde. We found Romulus in France, after a long search. He is a very beautiful dog, who is, just as many generations of ancestors, very good in the field . We really like his physique, charm and his beautiful dark eyes, that have been in his family for many generations. We think it's very important to look for a line of dogs that has never been used in The Netherlands and that is completely free of genetic disorders. This means there is also no inbreeding.
Why the name Brikla? This is a combination of two names, Brigitte (who has done a lot for us) and my Christian name Klazina.
We made the choice, which puppy would stay with us (there were five females to choose from), based on a test, done by judge Ada Schoenmaker at seven weeks old. The charakter of our new dog had to be compatible with the charakter of Yske and the results showed that Brikla would be the best choice for us.
Brikla has HD - A and her eyes have been tested and approved. Brikla had her first litter in 2009.

Beike Baronne van Achter de Duinen

Beike – a nest sister of Brikla – is a daughter of the international champion Romulus de la Foret des Seigneurs and champion Yske Rosina Jent von Beer’s Freunde. About the character of Romulus: see the chapter about Brikla.
Beike is a dark grey type. She is an active bitch with a lot of passion. We did - with a lot of joy - the puppy gundog training and the usual gundog trainings with her.
The same applies to several matches in the fields in which we participated. Then one can see the Heidewachtel as an hunting dog in all her glory. Scoring points with that is a difficult thing because often preceding dogs chase away pheasants and partridges. But it keeps to be nice. Beike and Joep, her brother, were the scamps from the nest. Their favorite game was who was the highest to jump.
In her adulthood jumping over fences is still a lot of fun, of course only under command. She has a good call.
Beike has HD-A and her eyes were tested to be good.
Furthermore, Beike is owner of:
- A Breeding Certificate d.d. 21-08-2006, which proves that Beike has been breeded in accordance with the rules of the NVH (Ned. Ver. v. Heidewachtelliefhebbers).
- An Attribution Certificate d.d. 15-04-2008, which proves that in accordance with the rules of the NVH (among others a very successful hunting and exterior test) a breeding advice has been attributed to Beike.
